Synopsis:

An old storyteller sitting by the fire retells various European folk tales, particularly ones considered obscure in Western culture, to both the viewers and to his talking dog. Each tale is created with a combination of actors and puppets.

Commentary:

My favourite Jim Henson creation! The episodes are not longer than half an hour but each one is created with the goal of telling its story in the best way possible.
